So I just learned during Ms. Velasquez's lesson on the Beatitudes that the kids in our CCD class (grades 8 & 9) have never even *heard* of Mother Teresa!! D: It broke my heart more than a little bit.
But on the plus side, next class I get to teach about Mother Teresa and how she lived out the Beatitudes. As much as I personally love the stories about saints like Ursula and Francis, I prefer teaching about modern saints because they're so much easier for the kids to relate with :)
