How to Solve Wife-Beating
This is a curious approach. In India (which has a large Muslim population), the problem of wife-beating and similar mistreatment allegedly affects three of four Shiite women surveyed. Also, it seems that there is a large problem of "girls going missing" -- which is how they're describing killing unborn females so that predominately boy babies are born.
Their solution? To ostracize the men responsible. Oh, and to disallow divorces. Also, to make it against the law to determine the gender of a fetus.
