To sum up the weekend...

Friday: beanee (Steph) and Christine came over, we split a 1.5L bottle of wine (0.5L each) in a very short period of time, followed by Steph and Christine each having 2 shots of Goldschlagger (sp?). We were all very giddy people. Damn, that's potent wine. Baked cupcakes for kelayrel's (Jen's) birthday, to be brought to the festival on Saturday. Turned out remarkably well, considering how well we were interacting with the alcohol. Beanee had some difficulty putting sprinkles on the tops, and the sink ended up with more sprinkles than the cupcakes themselves. The attempt at using the extra batter to make shaped cakes with my cute cookie cutters was not nearly as successful as the cupcakes.

Saturday: Up bright and early for the Creative Sewing and Needlework Festival for the day. I felt quite well, no hangover (slight headache, but nothing much). Christine wasn't feeling so hot until she made a bathroom break at Union Station, after which her tummy felt muuuuch better. Steph seemed relatively okay. We met with Jen, and proceeded to spend many dollars on fun crafts. I ended up with some make-your-own ceramic fat Santas, and some make-your-own wooden skiing penguins that are just way cute. Perhaps I shall take a photo when they're done. I also bought a little crochet afghan book, and some other stuff. Good stash, overall. Then Saturday night, Christine, Steph (and her man), and I all went to Ian and Elle's place to have a "we've been married for a month and a half" party (J was already there). I was the DD, so no drinkies for me. Afterwards, we all crashed at the apartment, finally slept around 2:30 or so.

Sunday: Went out for lunch with the above, and then when Steph and Jeff went home, Christine taught me how to crochet. We chilled for the rest of the night, which was wonderful and relaxing and much too rare, and now I'm going to bed.

Night night.
