I had my appointment with the gender doctor on Wednesday and started my assessment for hormone replacement therapy. I was really nervous but the boy sat through the appointment with me. The assessment is going to take around three months and will involve lots of questions, a psych assessment, blood work, and possibly a second opinion from another doctor. I've signed myself up for an appointment every two weeks, except for next month, where I was only able to get in during the first half of the month. I'm hoping to have a prescription for hormone blockers by the end of the year!

I am thinking of going on the lowest dose at first and seeing how I feel. At the moment, I am more interested in the psychological effects of the drug and trying to get a better balance of the hormone rush to my brain. I want that feeling of comfort inside of me. That "click" that I hear other people talk about when they started HRT. I just want to feel more comfortable with myself.
