I'm moving next Saturday so my apartment is currently a warzone. I am so excited, I can't wait to get out of here! I think I've done everything to sever my ties.
And oh, I have a paper due Tuesday and I haven't started writing it so I'm going to leave all you beautiful people to get started on that.
I hate the packing and physical moving part but the reward of a new place is always great. Last time I moved I unfortunately had a broken hand so had to supervise all the moving :)
WE HAVE MAPLE BABY! So, regardless of any and everything else's that's happening, this week is pretty close to A+.
In other news, work has finally gotten busy with actually interesting things. But more importantly, it's been Buckynat Week on Tumblr and therefore I've blissfully lost my mind more than usual regarding my beloved brainwashed ex-Soviet assassins. AND I WROTE SMUT! I've never done that before, but I've found writing this pairing really empowering in that way. Someone send me a prompt or two so I can finish out the week of drabbles in style :)
Also: Boston is apparently going to get MORE snow, so I guess I have less control over the weather than I'd previously thought. Alas.
The Mini-Bang is anonymous for some reason, but I'll link to the thing on Tumblr next week once the author reveal happens. The increasingly-naked bits are just in the last third, but I think you can read them (and most of the rest of it) without a ton of foreknowledge about the fandom...anyway, it was a good challenge for me, and I'm really pleased with how it came out. My beta said it melted her computer.
I DON'T KNOW. I did get to use the car today for the first time in almost two months, so that was something...I just want to wear anything but my puffy down jacket and three layers of everything at this point. Also, Boyfriend's parents are coming into town this weekend, and it'd be nice if storms didn't mess with those plans.
I would love to read it! Even with not knowing anything about the fandom. ;)
Hopefully the weather won't be too bad for boyfriend's parents' travels this weekend. Fight the power and not wear your puffer coat. It was about 50 degrees when my parents came to visit last weekend and I refused to wear anything heavy.
I am in a college basketball induced coma, which is fine by me. My team plays tomorrow at noon, which is a crappy time since work is extra insane this week, but I should be able to turn the game on and multitask.
I am debating venturing out to Whole Foods yet tonight to buy sundries for MORE basketball viewing with more friends tomorrow evening. But I have a feeling I will leave with a bottle of wine and a stronger feeling that I will drink the entire thing tonight. Like I said...work = insane.
Did anyone do anything exciting or fun for St. Patrick's Day?
I don't usually do anything for St Patrick's Day but I really should, I'm 1/4 I think. I have living relatives in Ireland and I'm heading there later this year so that should be fun.
everything i start to write just sounds really sad and depressing. so instead, i'll wish you all a Happy St. Joseph's Day and hope that you were able to indulge in the traditional pastries! i started off with the cannoli-cream cream sfinge this morning, and just finished my custard-filled one :)

The store might not have St Joseph's pastries, but you can get cream puffs or eclairs! Enjoy!
