Goodbye Anita-san
Man this is sad. One of my favorite coworkers died this week. Her name was Anita Folden, and she was one of our best cashiers. She died of cancer Tuesday morning, four days short of her 54th birthday. I never even knew she was sick. Anita was a great coworker. She made me feel welcome when I first came to Kroger, and always knew what to say to make me smile, no matter how crappy I was feeling before hand. Anita was friends with nearly everyone at work, and many customers loved her.
Hard as it is to know she's gone,at least she's not suffering anymore. I don't know how long Miss Anita was sick, or what kind of cancer she had, but I can take comfort in the fact that she no longer feels pain. I pray that when she's reborn, her life will be blessed with good fortune. Who knows, maybe we'll be related then. She was my family's kind of crazy.
The service will be held n Monday, and I plan to go. Say my last goodbye's, and maybe offer some prayers. Rest in peace, Miss Anita. I'll see you on the other side someday.
