"September, take offs and entries. October, compulsories. November, lead-ups. December, optionals."
This is Boxi's plan for the first part of the season, and it should result in everyone being ready to compete by February. And when I say "everyone," I mean the rest of the team--I must be special, because he's got me on a different training schedule. Yesterday, while everyone else was practicing hurdles onto mats, I was doing back and inward doubles tuck and pike on belt. And while they were doing front fall-ins on 3m, I was doing back doubles on 1m. He's keeping me pretty segregated from them (which I don't mind...most of them are half my age, and highly annoying).
And I am unique on our team: I'm the oldest, the most experienced, and I do the hardest dives. Also, I'm senior national, meaning I don't have compulsories and I have to be ready to compete in December. So the plan for me, I can only assume, is "September, take offs and entries and lead ups. October, optionals." (O_O) That way, I can compete a tuck list in December and start training a pike list for the bulk of the competitive season.
