Poll Get Cup Crazy

I know I'm late on the Memorial Cup part, but I thought I'd post anyways.

I have about an hour before class, yet right now all I want to do is crawl under the covers, curl up on my bed and sleep right now. I haven't been home since 7:25 A.M. I had to work in the morning. It was pretty much chill since there were 5 people who showed up to class today, and pretty much everyone were on their own. I had to help a couple people w/ the technical stuff. I need to write out a instructural plan on how to type a text on a path via Illustrator, since one guy was trying to figure that out and have it fit around his circle for his logo. Since I just barely learned how to do that stuff, and I couldn't fully remember how to do it (not to mention he asked before class was over), I have to figure out how to get that down and write down each steps so that I can remember.

Otherwise, I spent most of my work time finishing up one of my homework. 0:)

After work, I have to go back and forth to the financial office to get some paperwork done so that I can start getting paid. I also had to get lunch since the lady in charge was on her break when I arrived.

Thus, I haven't had a chance to go home. By the time I got the paperworks done and everything, it was almost 1. At this point it was pointless to go back home since it'll take me about 20 minutes to get home and I usually leave my house at 1:40 or 2.

As for yesterday, I was so drained and sore that I pretty much passed out during Game 6 of the Red Wings/Ducks series whilst keeping track of the scores from the Lewiston/Whalers game (I couldn't find the link to the audio feed). I could barely stay awake for both my classes, and even Ms. Paley asked me if I was okay, since I kept dosing off. I guess it was a good thing because Lewiston lost 2-1 in OT while Baby Berns got the #1. They might as well call Lewiston Team Bernier because he's been the one who's been doing most of the work w/ little help on both the offense and defensive side. At this point, they are on the verge of elimination (tonight's game between the Giants & Tigers will determine their fate-if Medicine Hat wins, then they'll have to play the elmination game against the Whalers) unless some miracle happens. If it wasn't for Bernier, Lewiston would prolly be eliminated by now.

One last thing, looks like the officials hate Lewiston as well b/c this it not the first time they'd get screwed over by them. First, they wouldn't give them the penalty shot on Sunday's game. Now, a disallowed goal. :/

Red Wings/Ducks series on the other hand... I'm not as bitter unlike the Lewiston game since I don't like either teams in the west. In a way, I would've rather seen the Red Wings make the finals since they are more tolerable. On the other hand, I am partially glad that the Ducks won the series because it'll give me a chance to go to a Stanley Cup Finals game, and even better watch the Sens play (since we didn't get to play them this season all thanx to the NHL schedule), even if it means being the odd one out going to enemy territory for the Cup Finals. However, I'm not liking the fact that the Ducks are making 2 Stanley Cup appearances while the Kings only made 1, and that was in 1993 (which took them 26 years to even get there). Worse let, although the Ducks have some wonderful & talented players who deserve to win the Cup, especially Teemu Selanne, not to mention it'll be good for hockey in soCal (especially when the Ducks win the Cup), as a Kings fan I really cannot tolerate the Ducks going around hoisting the Cup while we have to suffer even long and keep on waiting forever until our time comes. It'd be icing on the cake if the Kings could win the Cup before the Ducks, but at this rate the team is going, we can only dream.

Hopefully I can get the presale code from Danie and order nosebleed seat tix for Game 2 (and maybe Game 5) before I leave for Scotsdale. Please wish me lots and tons of luck, especially Cup Final tix are hard to find.

Later that night, I was cooking dinner. My mom had the t.v. on and she was watching the news. When the sports section came up, I went to the family room and watched the Red Wings/Ducks portion of the news. When they interviewed Chris Pronger, Todd Marchant & Teemu Selanne, my mom was all telling me how the Ducks were ugly. I even told her that the Kings were hotter, and she agreed w/ me. Then when JS Gigeure was interviewed, she then said that he was better looking.

My parents know very little about hockey, although they know that I go to a gazillion games. My dad even asked me this morning if Paul Kariya is upset that he's not playing for the Ducks. The funny thing is that whenever I go to Ducks games, they'll ask me if the Ducks won, assuming that I'm rooting for them. Of all Ducks games I've been to at Honda Center, the Ducks have won thus I've been a good luck charm for them. However, I usually root for any team against the Ducks, and I WILL be rooting for the Senators all the fucking way!!! GO SENS GO!!!

Well, I have to get ready to leave for class. Till then, have a wonderful day.
