If you know where that is from...
Hi, let's hang out.
A-wait for it-ddicted.
Okay, I won't do that any more.
But love this show. Love, love, love this show.
I'll refer you
here, and while Marshall and Lily are still definitely the most *important* part of the show for me, the group as a whole is just wonderful. I'm super-invested in the hunt for the mother. I'm not super invested in the Barney Show, 27/4 (yes, I meant that), but we'll get into that tangent in a bit.
Alyson Hannigan is like a modern Lucille Ball. And that comparison has been made a shameful number of times, but she *really* really is. Her comic timing and tics are fabulous. And Jason is so, *so* fabulous with her. You can tell how comfortable they are with each other at this point, and basically them just standing side by side is effective.
I have a massive crush on Jason Segel. Like, tie me down so I don't drive out to L.A. and go looking for him. (Unless you want to come with me? ROAD TRIP!!!)

So...basically Jason is a real life Barney Stinson? I mean...from what I hear of Hollywood gossip, Jason is kind of a slut. I feel like that makes/helps him play characters like Marshall and Peter Bretter and Nick Andopolis better? I will be first in line when the Muppet movie comes out? (ROAD TRIP???)
Speaking of which...Barney Stinson? Kinda a douchebag. Neil Patrick Harris has Matthew Morrison Syndrome, where he is charming and wonderful and can make me smile for no reason...but the character he plays is such a dick. Yeah, I'm not with you guys on him. Every once in a while, he comes out with a big gesture showing what a great friend/guy he is, but I'm not overly impressed. (I'm sure those of you who adore him will have a lot to say about this and can point out very specific references, but overall, eh...)
Him and Cobie sure do/did have chemistry, but I am so NOT a Barney/Robin shipper (color you all shocked). First of all, all of season 4 was all about *his* secret longing and never saw any inkling from her. Then they were an okay couple for a while, but...Yeah, I got over it quick. And I was somewhat sold on Don? I don't know. Marshall made a pretty big deal about him. Maybe they just kept referring to him as 'The One', because he was the one Robin finally changed for.
Ted and Robin on the other hand? Oh, I love, love, love their friendship. And they were a pretty darned adorable couple too, and I get totally how/why she is part of the story, they were each other's first Big Adult Love. I love them as roommates. I love the story of the French Horn. Second to Marshall and Lily, that is the most important relationship on the show, for me. (But I love them platonically as BFF's above all else.)
Quick thing? I love how Lily and Robin are always drinking white wine at MacLaren's and red wine at home. Thatta girls!
But yeah, I am so super-invested in the hunt for the mother. I know I'm years and months and decades and weeks late for discussion on this, but how do we think this will happen?

Ummmm....Punch and Pie.
