This weekend I shall, with any luck and determination, finish my application for Clarion as well as an application for a paid internship at Gettysburg College library. I also have to get the Villanova app finished, but I'm really not looking forward to paying the submission cost. Bloody hell, what a racket.
NCIS and The Man from UNCLE are my two new shows, and I think I may be just a little bit in love with David McCallum. God, he was a cutie. And Ducky is the best character, though there are certainly enough other good ones to choose from. Both shows are formulaic...yes. But a dry sense of humor and leads who don't take themselves too seriously save MfU; and extremely well-rounded, human characters (and humor, yes) make NCIS, IMHO, one of the best shows currently running. My sister tried to get me into Pushing Up Daisies while I was home, but I think it was a bit too chick for me. I like me some action with my humor, and preferably little-to-no overt romance. Subtext is one thing--openly pining is something else.
Also, seeing Robert Vaughn as not a bad guy is really really freaking weird. I may have mentioned that in a previous post, but I just started watching season 5 of the A-Team on Netflix, and the juxtaposition is too bizarre for words.
