grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Bored.  And frustrated.  After three days feverishly researching everything I could get my hands on regarding Minoan civilization (which wasn't a whole hell of a lot) in my search for a religious link between Minoan Crete and the Semites of the Eastern Mediterranean, my interest just...died.  Don't know what killed it.  It could be the lack of clear archeological evidence of anything deeper than a trade relationship between the two; it could be the fact that Linear A is still light years away from being deciphered; it coud be that I am apparently the only person in the history of the world to sense a connection between Minoan religious figures and Canaanite/Phoenician, hence no one has written about it.

The interest is there, still, waiting to be resurrected.  But I need information to resucitate it, and there just isn't any.  There's something very wrong with the world when the best data I could get my hands on was from Wikipedia rather than JSTOR or EBSCO.

I have to go onto campus today to drop a couple of packages at the student post office; maybe I'll stop by the library and see if they have any books on ancient Crete.  At least, any books I can get to that aren't in fucking storage.

In completely unrelated news, last night I dreamed that I switched bodies with one of the librarians I used to work with b/c she was sick and for some reason this would make her better, but since we switched I then had to take over her job.  When I woke up I thought I was in my old dorm room, and I didn't even live in a dorm last year.
