I'm going to break things.
So 2 weeks ago idiot drummer sends me a text "really sick... going to be an hour late to practice.." and never shows up. Since then I've left COUNTLESS messages and sent countless texts (both of which turned ugly after about a week), and heard nothing. We had to beg Chris' firend from back hometo come into the city, have one rehearsal with us, and play the show on Wednesday. Today I get this:
Hello. I was out of the cuty and came back lastnight. Read and heard the messages. What time is practice tomorrow?
I sent back:
No practice. Didn't hear from you so we couldn't book it. We got someone else to play the show with us so don't worry about it.
I get back:
Got it.
I am so angry with this kid I could kil him. are you sick or did you leave town? Get your story straight. Being out of town doesn't mean you don't have your phone. MySpace had him logges in a few days ago. We send him e-mails. Nothing. This is where I would like the conversation to go next time I see him (if that ever happens):
Idiot drummer: So when are we rehearsing next?
kitten: Never. You're out of the band moron.
Idiot drummer: What?? Why?
kitten: Why? Do you mean other than the fact that you:
have dropped off the face of the earth for a total of 4 weeks + in the past 2 months;
can't keep time to save your life;
don't listen to direction;
can't grasp the easiest of transitions;
play worse after a year of rehearsing than a guy who heard our songs, and learned them in the span of a day;
are constantly late/absent for practice;
bring your creepy friends to practice when you do show;
and arrive over an hour late for shows?
idiot drummer: ...
kitten: well, aside from that I can't stand your face. Oh, and your handle-bar-mustache makes you look like one of the guys that has a monkey playing a music box. And you're too short. That's right, I said it. Did I mention I hate your face?
