I swear to God, my parents just said they were going to "hunker down" because of the hurricane.

Hunker Down.

They have never used that phrase before in their lives. I don't know whether to be proud or scared.

My mom is in India; she just went, and she'll be there for over a month. She's planning on spending almost all of the time with my grandmother, her mom, who had a stroke over a year ago, and is mostly alone.
