The husband asked for a night out Tuesday, so we went to see the new
Ghostbusters: Afterlife. I enjoyed it a lot. Yes, it didn't have the Akroyd/Murray banter like the original, but it was still a fun family film in 2021. I'd watch it again. And there were maybe half a dozen other people in the theater with us, all several rows behind, so nowhere near our seats.
I have my office's holiday mandatory fun this afternoon, in the form of a gift exchange and a BYOIM (Bring Your Own Insulated Mug) coffee. Looks like it's going to be up in the 60s, so fairly warm for an outdoor gathering, which I'm definitely not complaining about. My entry this year is a copy of
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, a delight of a card game for 3 or more people. I'm hoping one of the coworkers with kids gets it. But if it's like last year, where I picked out a "I work this hard so my dog can have a good life" mug because 99% of my coworkers have dogs and of course the other cat person got it, then hey.
After that, since I'll be on that side of DC, I'm actually going to stop into my office and see if there's more stuff I can take home. I know there are more legos I could bring back. Now I just need to remember what floor my office is on (for reference, I started this job a little less than two months before the pandemic hit and we were all sent home, and I last visited the building sometime in March of this year, about a year after the previous visit).
