So Fleming won me over on going to a sorority pot luck dinner tonight for prospective members. It wasn't what I expected; I'm not going to say all of them seemed like really open minded, deep people, but there were a number of them. While others seemed as if their mother's mother's mother had been in the sorority and would lose it if it didn't follow the status quo. For example, Fleming began an arm wrestling match between the girls, at which point some got really excited and joined with enormous smiles and ready to take their challenger out. Those are my kind of ladies. Others, though, were pretty upset that this was happening in front of others and went through to the prospective girls promising this isn't "the kind of thing we do here." First impressions are generally way off anywya, though.
I probably won't join, but I admit it would be nice to have a group of female friends, as right now my life is being occupied completely by theater folk (and they do get a bit trying at times) and scott. i just don't know how i feel about paying $190 per quarter for them.
Going to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 now. yay.
