This weekend trip to Chicago was good. I needed to get away and I know that this is what I needed. It felt really good to have a few days off of work and see my family down there. For those of you who care...the tumor they found in Dena was not cancerous. They did surgery yesterday to see where all the bleeding was coming from but ended up doing a hysterectomy while they were in there because there was too much bleeding and they didn't think they'd be able to stop it. Today they went in to do a DNC on Dena. When they were in there they found a tumor. When they removed it they found out it was about seven pounds. They don't yet know if it's cancerous or not. That's the reason she miscarried. I'm worried about her. Physically she's not doing well, but emotionally she's doing even worse. I wish I could talk to her ( Read more... )

They still can't figure out what's wrong with Dena. She's still in ICU and they don't know when she will be getting out. She has been losing a lot of blood and had to have a blood transfusion today. They can't get her blood pressure to stay where it should be. Anytime she tries to stand up she just about passes out. She's in a lot of pain and since ( Read more... )

Dena lost the baby and then she died. Fifteen minutes later they brought her back. She's a little better now, her blood pressure is back up to normal, and she's awake. She should, hopefully, make it through all this. She is going to be heartbroken though, for a long time. I just want to go down there and give he a big hug. She's the mother of two ( Read more... )

Dena has been moved to ICU. Her blood pressure went down even more and they can't find the baby's heartbeat anymore. They don't know if she miscarried or not because it's possible that the position is just bad and that when the baby turns it will show up again. Dena is in the hospital. She might lose the baby. Apparently she came in last night while Jason was working. She was one of his patients. Her blood pressure has dropped really low and baby's heart rate was down to 40bpm. That is really bad. They got her blood pressure up to 96/52 but that is still really low. I feel deflated. I thought that working so much this last week would take my mind off of things...but no such luck. I worked 52 hours in the last 5 days. That should be illegal or something. I haven't talked to Jason or Dena in a long time. I am worried about them. The last thing that either of them said to me was Dena on the phone. I'm fairly worried about Jason right now. I know he's okay because I talked to Dena on the phone tonight but their electricity is out so they've been sitting around in the dark all day.
