Silliness

I'm making a mix CD for segermark to give her tomorrow before she leaves us all for the Wild, Wild West. The requirements were energetic music that can be sung to. Well, I suppose most of the songs fall in that category. OK, so there's one that's in Spanish (I think), but it's energetic!

As I'm listening to it to make sure it sounds OK, one song in particular meets the criteria "can sing along to" so I sing goofily aloud to my little girl rats Tria, Mia, Rosie, and Ginger. They think this is extremely weird but they love it when I put my face down to their level so they can sniff and slink around the mini jungle gym I just made available to them (hair, face, neck, top of my head, shoulders).

I'm really glad jakethrash didn't come down to witness this insanity.

The Birthday Massacre, "Happy Birthday"
The Birthday Massacre, "Video Kid" (my current always played favorite song)
Boston, "Foreplay/Long Time" (one of my all time favorite songs ever)
Cirque du Soleil Varekai soundtrack, "Kero Hiyero"
Collective Soul, "Better Now"
Collective Soul, "Feels Like (It Feels All Right)"'
No Doubt, "Hella Good" (this song always cheers me up)
Ozzy Osbourne, "No More Tears"
Rush, "Tom Sawyer" (I blame hugeboozehound for putting this in my brain since he mentioned Rush is coming in June)
Sammy Hagar, "I Can't Drive 55" (the best song for long drives)
Utah Saints, "Lost Vagueness"
Utah Saints, "Something Good" (Utah Saints! U-U-U-Utah Saints!)
Celtic Woman soundtrack, "One World"
Pseudo Echo, "Funky Town" (one of my all time favorite songs ever)
Queensryche, "Scarborough Fair" (not really energetic, but it's quirky fun)

10 points to whoever can guess right what song I was singing to my rats before jakethrash makes his guess!

All of these songs make me do some sort of noise, usually some guitar impression, a lyric or two, but only one do I sing aloud most of the lyrics.

mia, pets, ginger, tria, rosie, rats, music
