Once upon a time there was a rex ratty named Basil.
Basil grew up with his brother Hobbes and they lived with the snuggly skkyechan and nalroth. They had a lot of fun all together until one day when Hobbes was too tired to play and Basil was very lonely. skkyechan knew that leesalogic would find a way to make sure Basil wasn't lonely.
Luckily for Basil, the same day he was coming to live with leesalogic, she was on her way to pick up a cute baby boy ratty named Sylvan. She knew that Basil would be happier if he could snuggle with another ratty and Sylvan would be young enough to not torment old Basil too much.
But first, Leesa and Basil needed to reacquaint themselves.
"Aroo?"
"Love me!"

More scritchin'
And then there was the baby boy, Sylvan.
"Ma! Not in front of the other rats! Lemme down!" (lookit that cute tummy!!)
So wee!
A few days passed and it was time to introduce Basil and Sylvan.
Sylvan was ready!
Two ratties enter! Fight!
Basil does the sideways foof!
Basil and Sylvan jockey for dominance position!
Basil had the upper hand, getting Sylvan in a submissive position, but Sylvan was a pretty energetic little ratty, and he decided to try some tricks out!
Sylvan wins this round. Basil was not happy. Yes, Sylvan is doing exactly what it looks like he's doing. This is ratty politics.
We took a break, but the next day when Basil got solo time, he was really bugging Leesa. No amount of snuggles and scritches satisfied him. So she brought Sylvan back out.
Oh! Hi!
Will Basil and Sylvan ever become friends? How long will it take before Sylvan thinks Leesa is the best thing ever?
