After we rested ourselves from that encounter, we decided to throw a party for staying alive. We also chose to use the song, "Staying Alive". Everyone who had a dragon was invited, as was everyone else who wanted to come. We made sure to have fun for those who might want it at the party, so we made an obstacle course, which was to make sure they got away from "traps", which were large lines across, and with the "dragons", little pieces of foam in a form, still intact by "flying", a.k.a. going up or down by cables attached to the seats they'd sit in. We had wine, as well as undiluted, strong, hard-working beer we called "dragonblood " for those who wished to sample it. We even had challenges for those who wanted to try.
The only uneasy thing about it was trying to have a conversation without mentioning about traps or my month in the hospital. We talked a little bit, but there wasn't too much speaking adding to the noisy air. We mostly focused on doing things instead of saying things. So it was mostly other noises. In the first half of the day, speaking was mostly shouts of,"Hurray!". In the second half, it was children saying,"Aw! I don't want to leave yet!" and parents saying things like," Honey, I'm sorry, but we have to go. Do you want to cancel that play date with Mindy and Susan?" and such.
At midnight, everyone departed in groups of twos and threes, pleasantly contented with the evening, except for the cleaners, a.k.a. us, for we had to put this all up again. Luckily for us, the rest of the night passed without activity. We went home afterward, and the moment my head hit the pillow, I was asleep.
We slept for a day afterward. It was tiring.
