year-in-review
Here's what I said last year (you can find that post here):
Hopefully to complete in 2008:
- CanCan Ensemble
- Star Wars CanCan
- Guinevere's Blue Dress (Blouse)
- Baby Rachel's Annual Halloween Costume
And what really happened in 2008:
Costumes
- Harry Potter POA-Style Uniform - nothing has changed since last year; still want to tweak my pattern a little and make a second skirt; gathering materials for the robe
- CanCan Ensemble - I'm dithering about what I want to do for the chemise and if I want to remake the corset *again*
- Star Wars CanCan - I finished the corset for my independent study and I found some silver fabric for the underskirt, but I don't know if I'm happy with it
- Guinevere's Blue Dress (Blouse) - again, no further along since last year
- Baby Rachel's Annual Halloween costume - finished! She went as Snow White this year though I wish I had the time to make the collar and cape to go with it; I still want to make a matching purse but that's on hold until I finish my dissertation
All originals and planning for future projects are also on hold. My LIFE is on hold until I graduate. No sewing for me until then!

Original
- Steampunk-Inspired Original Line - this was the biggest project for me in 2008 and sucked up A LOT of my time; I made a Victorian corset for this as well as one outfit for submission in the ITAA Design Competition (I wasn't selected as a finalist, but I'm planning on resubmitting this year :)
