Really? Is it that hard to design an on/off light bulb socket that doesn't require massive upper body strength?

After one week of use, the LAN card in my computer (apparently) died. High-speed home connection lost, which is why (in case you were wondering) I haven't been responding to e-mail.

(Dial-up is also unavailable, but for entirely different reasons that I won't get resolved until Tuesday).

Let's hear it for the local wifi cafe.

Still can't send out e-mail.

Can receive. Just can't send.

(Length of time between posts due to being out of town, not technical incompetence, although that excuse won't last long.)

Installing an upgrade to a basic, commonly-used module should not lead me into a descent into Dependency Hell.

Was at a very nice party. At one point a karaoke game got started, and I was convinced to get up. Unfortunately the song wasn't one that I knew.

So why is it, two days later, I can't get the damn thing out of my head?
