What I have found in the past is that self-motivation for good exercise is hard to come by. Especially to start. Once you get into a good routine however, you become accustomed to the endorphin/adrenal response and begin to look forward to it. Tricks I have used to get myself to the gym until I want to be there

OKay you are so not chubby it isn't even funny. Not even a little bit. I wouldn't call myself anywhere near thin or 100% in shape--but I have gotten better. I used to think I couldn't be anything by a whale. In fact I still consider myself a whale--just a smaller one, like a beluga whale instead of a big blue whale. I just think the biggest key to getting shape/losing weight--is to be so tired of the way things are you can't stand it anymore and do something about it. As for rewards--I find itunes songs or downloads to be a good reward. They are cheap for starters and easy to get. I need instant gratification.
That's the problem: I've never felt like I was REALLY unhealthy so I never bothered to change the bad habits I have: like I don't exercise for more than a week in a row. I've never been on a sports team, or taken a class consistently or gone to the gym, or anything. So I dunno what it's like.
Maybe music, though I really have no idea what is out there now. Korea does not have the latest American music.
We have been listening to Jillian Michael's podcasts. Sometimes she's a bit TOO extreme, in my opinion (and she repeats herself over and over from week to week). But generally, quite motivating. I listen to them in the bathtub. Maybe that was TMI. Anyway
