So here's the thing. I want to work out on a regular basis. I feel sort of vaguely lethargic and unhealthy all the time and I drink too much coffee. I want to have natural energy and I want to be proud of how I look ( Read more... )

Some further notes now that it's not stupid early in the morning...

diet is a crazy big factor. You can work out at much as you want, but if you don't pay attention to how you fuel your body, you might as well just give up.

breakfast: eat within 1 hour of waking up. even if its just a piece of fruit and some nuts.

snacks: i try and eat a snack in between each meal. I like apples, bananas, granola bars (avoid the chewy kind or the kind dipped in chocolate). But just one. one apple, one banana, one granola bar. just something to maintain blood sugar.

Lunch: High protein, low fat low carb. you've got your body burning SOMETHING. do you want it to be carbs you ate, or fat stores you already have? the trick is just maintaining your blood sugar level.

snacks (again): same rule as your first snack. I usually mix it up. dry roasted nuts (2/3s of a cup) the opposite fruit ate for a morning snack. I am lucky, i really like granola bars. I also like yogurt or cottage cheese. not the best option. but sometimes you have to treat yourself.

dinner: enjoy whatever you feel like here, but this time is simply about portion control. You body will use whatever you have left over night to recoup and repair your workout fatigue. so you want to give it just a little less than you need. That way your body is forced to eat some reserves. the what matters, but If i remember you eat fairly healthy so i dont think i need to tell you to avoid KFC dinners

Water: Drink a ton of it. ignore soda, coctails, beer + wine, and anything other than 100% juice. I go through like 3 liters a day, on a slow day.

i lost 5 lbs by just eating breakfast. the rest of it, and I lost 26lbs in 2 months. And i cheat, a lot. good luck babe. you're gonna look even more fabu-tastic than you always have. good luck, kick ass.
