Kazuya played with his fingers. It seemed that his fingers were more interesting than anything around him. However, a sigh escaped from the pair of his thin lips. It sounded so heavy that anyone who heard it could figure out that Kazuya was in trouble. But is that true?
He took out his cell phone when he felt the vibration coming from his bag. Slowly he checked it and found a new message just arrived. He knew who sent it.
Sorry Kazu-chan, I’ve to talk with my professor for a minute. Wait for me, okay?
He sighed again.
That was a message from his boy friend. Akanishi Jin - a person who he accepted two days ago. Jin was a popular person, not like him. He wondered why Jin wanted to become his boy friend. Insecurity is not the only problem in their relationship. (He doesn’t tell Jin about that) The other thing is that he doesn’t know how to love Jin. The elder guy might find it okay, but not to him. It’s not okay. Definitely not okay.
“Kazuya” A call from a voice which was so familiar to his ears made Kazuya lifted his face. His once gloomy face turned into sweet as his eyes caught an image of Jin running towards him.
“I’m sorry for make you waiting.” Jin said as he moved forward and placed a chaste kiss on Kazuya’s right cheek, making the younger guy to blush.
“I-it’s okay.” Kazuya answered softly, now playing with the hem of his shirt. He was so nervous when Jin was around. The thing that would never changed, for sure.
Jin smiled. Kazuya always be Kazuya and it was the reason why he fallen in love with this guy. Gently, he took Kazuya’s hand into him, causing the younger to stare at him with his pair of innocent eyes.
Jin never holds his hand after they become a couple. Kazuya talked to himself. So why? Kazuya looked at their intertwined fingers.
“Let’s go, nee? I’m hungry.” Jin rubbed his stomach with his other free hand. Kazuya smiled in return before nodded his head.
Sometimes, he wonders… will Jin stays by his side, forever?
When that thought knocked his mind, unconsciously, he squeezed Jin’s hand hard, afraid Jin would leave him.
“Is everything okay, Kazuya?” Jin stopped and looked at his boy friend, worried. His boy friend didn’t look well, after all. Is he sick?
Giving Jin his half-hearted smile, Kazuya nodded his head. “I’m okay. Just hungry.” Kazuya smiled sheepishly.
“If that is so, we shall walk faster than this. I don’t want my Kazuya to fall sick.”
“Hai, hai” Kazuya beamed.
Perhaps, Jin will always be with him.

Ueda didn’t know what happened to his best friend. Yesterday, he looked fine. Indeed, he was happier than usual. He knew it was because of Akanishi Jin. Jin celebrated Kazuya’s birthday in his place, and that made Kazuya happy. But today, Kazuya looked miserable. When he came home just now, he was crying.
Is it because of Jin again? Ueda sighed.
“Kazu-chan” Ueda knocked Kazuya’s door - several times. “Kazu-chan, open the door please.”
“Go away, Tat-chan. I want to be alone.”
“No way. I will not leave you just like that, crying for 24 hours. Open this door, now!” He didn’t like to heighten his voice especially to Kazuya, his sensitive friend.

Ueda breathed out a relieved sigh. He entered a room that he had familiar with - Kazuya’s simple room. His eyes, at immediate, caught an image of Kazuya holding his knees tightly on his single bed. His feet walked on his own accord, at a right pace before sat in front of Kazuya.
“What happened to you, Kazuya?” Ueda patted Kazuya’s head lightly.
“He hates me, Tat-chan.” Kazuya wiped off his tears harshly. “He doesn’t love me anymore.”
Jin. That was the only name which came across Ueda’s head. His anger towards his lover’s friend started to build up. He hated when Kazuya cried. Kazuya is like a little brother to him. He loves Kazuya so much, that he doesn’t want Kazuya to be hurt.
“What he did to you?”
“He hates me, Tat-chan. I should not make him angry. He hates me.” That were the only words that Kazuya uttered whenever Ueda asked him.
“Tat-chan, what should I do?” Kazuya looked at Ueda with his teary, red eyes. “I love him, Tat-chan. I’m afraid, Tat-chan; he is going to leave me like mommy.”
Seeing Kazuya like this was just like that night 14 years ago. Ueda felt like his heart was stabbed by a knife. It hurts.
“No Kazuya, he will not leave you. He loves you too.”
“No!” Kazuya yelled before started to throw his pillows in every direction. “No, he is not. He doesn’t love me anymore. I’m alone, no one want to be with me.” Tears fell easily on his cheeks.
At instant, Ueda hugged Kazuya tightly, made sure Kazuya wouldn’t think that way. “See, you’re not alone. I’ll be with you. Tat-chan is going to be with Kazu-chan forever. Don’t worry, Kazu-chan.”
Kazuya didn’t have any courage to reply his best friend’s words. Instead he hugged Ueda back, tightly. “Don’t leave me, Tat-chan.”
“I wouldn’t. Don’t you remember what I told you before?”

Ueda smiled as he watched Kazuya slept. Kazuya is just like an angel, a pure angel to be exact. However, his heart is so fragile that it is easily broken, just like today. He didn’t know what happened neither to Kazuya nor to Jin but he knew there must some kind of misunderstand occurred in their relationship. Or if what Kazuya told him was a truth, then Jin really doesn’t love him anymore. But Jin already promised to him.
Furiously, Ueda fished out his cell phone from his pocket and started to dial a number which Kazuya asked him to save at the first place.
“Akanishi Jin?” Ueda stopped to breathe, “It’s me, Ueda Tatsuya, Kazuya’s friend.”
A silence.
“I want to see you. Now. It’s about Kazuya. Yes, come to our place. I’ll wait for you.” Ueda clicked the red button of his cell phone. He took a gaze at a slumber Kazuya.
I want to see Kazuya smiles again.
