Summary: Yunho loves Jaejoong, and there is no way he will let other people get to Jaejoong’s heart. Although he feels that way, he doesn’t have the courage to tell Jaejoong his feelings because of his fear that he will destroy their 6-years of friendship. So, what if, one night, Jaejoong tells him and the others that he has a date. What actions will Yunho take then?

Yoochun can’t take it anymore. Yunho just keeps sulking and cursing, and it’s already been 2 hours. Why? It was all because of Jaejoong. Jaejoong had told them that he has a date, and Yoochun knows something wasn’t quite right when his brain began to process the information he heard. And guess what? His prediction is proving out to be right when he looks to his side and sees Yunho with his cheeks flushed a deep red. No, he doesn’t think it’s because of the heat or whatnot. It is mainly because of his anger towards that one person - The person who had asked Jaejoong out.
“Hyung,” Yoochun walks towards Yunho and pats his shoulder, “Aish, stop doing that. Even if you sulk and curse, Jaejoong-hyung won’t come here to cheer you up.”
Yunho sends Yoochun a death glare, “So what? Like he cares what I’m doing right now. Perhaps, he doesn’t even remember who I am! His attention will be all focused on that stupid, whatever guy he’s with!” Yunho proceeded to throw his fists into the air. “Aish! I hate this!”
“Hyung…” Yoochun knows about the ongoing crush that Yunho has towards Jaejoong. He knows, Changmin knows, and even Junsu knows! This problem only arose due to Yunho himself being too slow. He’s just too scared to say those three vital and crucial words to seal his fate. ‘I love you’: Was it really too hard for Yunho to say them?
“Why don’t you just tell Jaejoong-hyung your feelings? It’ll be easier that way.”
“And then what?” Yunho rolls his eyes and continues, “You want me to hear him say ‘I’m so sorry Yunho, but I can’t accept you. You’re my best friend.’ If I was to do that then, not only will I have my heart broken but I will also lose him as a friend, Yoochun.” Yunho leans his body back on the couch, “I don’t want that to happen, Yoochun. He is too important to me.” A sigh escapes Yunho’s thin lips.
“It appears you don’t have any faith in Jaejoong-hyung.”
“Pardon?” Yunho turns and faces Yoochun, looking like he wants to strangle Yoochun to death. “What faith are you talking about? I just want to protect our friendship. I don’t want him to act awkward towards me.”
Yoochun shrugs his shoulders, surrendering. “Then it is all up to you, hyung. If Jaejoong-hyung comes home with a big, wide smile and announces that he’s in relationship, I don’t think you can manage to stay very close to him after that.” Yoochun says without putting much thought into it but, nonetheless, what he had just said made a lot of sense.
Their conversation is interrupted then, by Changmin’s loud voice coming from their workroom. “Yoochun-hyung! Come here, I want to show you something!”
“I’ll be there in a moment,” replies Yoochun, voice matching Changmin’s volume. He stands up from his seat, however, before he walks to meet the person who he holds closest to his heart, he utters, “If I were you hyung, I will tell Jaejoong-hyung. It’s okay if Jaejoong-hyung doesn’t accept your feelings but, at least, you will get to know how he feels about you. Although, if you just keep it all to yourself…” Yoochun stops mid-sentence as he catches the expression on Yunho’s face, then continues, “I just don’t want you to regret it later on hyung, that’s all. Anyways…” Yoochun shrugs his shoulders again, “Good luck.”
Yunho is dumbfounded with Yoochun’s not-so-long advice. Yoochun is right. He knows how Jaejoong is. Jaejoong will not throw him or their friendship away because of that. Although it will be awkward if Jaejoong doesn’t accept his confession, but Jaejoong is still Jaejoong; and Jaejoong is his best friend, a person who he can’t live without.
When that sudden thought pops into his mind, he stands abruptly and runs to their workroom to find Yoochun. He barely notices that he’s panting, mind set only on Jaejoong. He has to tell him. He has to.
“Do you know where Jaejoong went?”
Changmin, sitting in front of his desk, looks up at him with wide, confused eyes, “Hyung, why are you barging in like that? It’s rude!” he pouts cutely.
Yoochun, who is leaning on bookcase beside him, smiles at his lover’s words, then, addresses Yunho. “He told me he’s going to this French restaurant or something. It should be the one close by, seeing as there’s only one French restaurant around here.”
Yunho’s eyes sparkle as he hears that. He knows the place alright. He had told Jaejoong once that, when he’s going to propose to the person he loves; he will go there to do it. However, he doesn’t have any idea whether the guy Jaejoong’s going out with, has the same thought as him or not. Is this just a coincidence?
“Thank you!” And with that, Yunho sprints out of the apartment, disturbing the tranquillity of the place with a loud bang of the front door.
“Aish! He will destroy our house sooner or later if he keeps doing that!” Changmin complained, when suddenly something clicked into his mind. He turns and faces his boyfriend, “Why does Yunho-hyung want to know where Jaejoong-hyung is anyway?”
Yoochun smiles tenderly. Sometimes, he wonders if Changmin really is this slow in guessing. But, this is the Changmin who he loves regardless. “Because Yunho-hyung wants to confess to Jaejoong-hyung.”
“Confess?” Changmin tilts his head, still not quite catching the point. “Confess what?”
“He…” Yoochun steps forward, much more closer to Changmin before giving Changmin’s nose a peck then proceeding onto his lover’s ever-so-tempting lips. “He loves Jaejoong-hyung.” Yoochun finally reveals the truth.
“He does? Really?” Changmin’s eyes widen, totally in shock with the news he just heard. “Aah…” Changmin then nods his head in understanding, “No wonder whenever a female approaches Jaejoong-hyung, Yunho-hyung will pretend someone needs to see Jaejoong-hyung.”
“That’s correct.”
Changmin watches his boyfriend’s expression for a second until something else pops into his mind. “Then… that means we’ll have another couple in the Dong Bang house!” His face lights up. “Awesome!”
Yoochun chuckles at Changmin’s childish behaviour. “Therefore, let us just hope that Jaejoong-hyung will accept Yunho-hyung’s feelings, right?”
Changmin nods again. “Yoochun-hyung, if they successfully become a couple, we can have a big feast as celebration, okay? With lots and lots of food!” He grins, showing his pearly white teeth. That’s Changmin, the food-lover, for you. If it isn’t for Yoochun, perhaps he will only end up loving food and never people.
“Yes, we shall do that. But first we need to do something else.”
“Something else? What is it?” Changmin asks, a tad bit clueless.
“That something is…” Yoochun takes his time placing a kiss on Changmin’s lips. Like Yunho, he doesn’t know if he can live without Changmin by his side. Changmin is just like oxygen. Without him, he doesn’t think he’ll be able to breathe.
This time, Changmin takes the first step. He wraps his arms around Yoochun’s neck and brings his lover down to meet him. “Is this that ‘something’?” Changmin asks again, voice hoarse.
“Indeed… it is” Yoochun captures Changmin’s lips again; the kiss filled with passion and love.
