On a macroscopic level, I am happier than I've been in forever. I am done with grad school (or at least the thesis -- I'm still getting paid to finish papers through the end of August). My laptop hard drive is suddenly making weird noises some of the time. :( Maybe I should get an extra hard drive and do a full backup. I'm pretty good about backing up most of my important work and writing files to my remote account at school, but I'll miss some of my non-essentials (e.g., the music that I don't also have on CD) if it all goes ( Read more... )
