all in all i'm doing ok. work is going well; i'm still training and will be for the first 3 months of work, and so far that is going pretty well. i did find out that my discount card for target does NOT work on produce or meat, but pretty much everything else, but i was really confused for a while looking at my receipt... yea, i know, i was a math minor and everything. go fig.
brian and i went to chicago yesterday and today for the labor day weekend and we didn't really do much, considering we decided on yesterday that we should go. the funny thing about people is that if you make last minute plans, they're not always available! i know! ridiculous huh? we at least spent some time with my sister, even though she ditched us cuz she had to get up in the morning and babysit. a likely story. but its the first time i've seen her in a while so that was kinda nice. then today we went shopping on michigan ave and i got a pair of jeans for $20 so i was happy. really, that's all it takes these days to make me happy, i'm in a pretty good place right now.
otherwise we're currently looking to move out of this dump and into someplace that actually has room for more than one couch. not that this couch isn't nice, but i would kind of like a dining room. or at least room for a dining room table. the only thing is that brian might now be here much longer (cuz he's interviewing for a job in Minneapolis) so we have to get a place i'll be able to afford on my own if necessary. so the money thing sucks in addition to having the possibility of him moving away from me. the nice thing is that if he gets the job there, i'll most likely be moving there within a year or so, which isn't too bad in the great scheme of things. i mean seriously, its a lot closer than china!
my car is still fabulous, and i've decided to name it Night Rider, cuz its black and cool. in addition, i got a new cell phone so now i don't have to count the pre-paid minutes i'm using with every phone call. but it's sprint so we'll see how that works out. i've already yelled at them once and i've only had it a week. fuckers.
if anyone has a cute puppy they'd be willing to give us, let me know. we're dog shopping but we want to adopt because a) pet shop dogs are way expensive and we don't want to promote dog breeding b/c of overpopulation and b) there's lots of dogs who need a good home. so if you know of any small (>25 pounds) cuddly critters which even slightly resemble a dog, let me know. as much as i love scratching brian behind the ears, he's too heavy to sit in my lap. trust me on that.
