Let you fall asleep and vanish out into thin air....

Who: Gabriel and a comafied Murphy.
Where: MURPHY'S HEAD. ....No. Really. Isn't dreamwalking amazing?
What: Gabriel puts angel dreamwalking to the test. CAN YOU VISIT SOMEONE IN A BARGE COMA? STAY TUNED.

When: Before the feargas fiasco, even though it doesn't really matter, because... He's unaffected and doesn't care that much.
Warnings: VIOLENCE. Lots of it. Murphy's brain is a scary place, okay?

With a good portion of his friends gone, MIA, and, in one case, comatose, Gabriel was losing faith and quickly. The only thing that kept him from feeling like a friggin' Inmate on this fucking ship was the fact that he still had his powers and even that, he could lose in one convenient port. He was getting jerked around by a job he personally volunteered for out of sheer selflessness (okay and a little bit of selfishness) and he hated it. There wasn't a lot he could do and there wasn't much he had control over.

But he could do this much. He hoped anyway.

The last time Gabriel popped into someone's dream was... Actually, he can't really remember when the last time was. Honestly, the human brain wasn't that fascinating and there wasn't anything he could tell someone in their dreams that he couldn't just tell them in person. Even Castiel's stealthing the Winchesters hadn't been too much of a problem for him to get around- wait around enough and they come to you, after all. He'd never really had a good reason for it until now.

And he'd argue if anyone found out that he was curious, that it was some sort of experiment and cry SCIENCE and let loose the hounds of war or whatever. It meant nothing. Sure as hell had nothing to do with the fact that Murphy, unlike Tony or Dean or Az, was here and not just completely gone. Maybe if he tried, he could actually bring her back around.

And then maybe he'd feel like he had some freakin' control over what happened on the Barge.
