I wanted to post before the coming week consumes me and I continuously complain on Twitter xD I hate that I'll have bursts of productivity and then spend the whole next day doing nothing, when I don't really have the time to spare ORZ.
I know I've neglected updating, just using Twitter as a crutch to tell people about my life. Despite this, I won't really update until next next week, because all of my coursework is due this week...and yea xD If I can survive till May 7th, I will be a very happy lady, lol.
In any case, I wanted to share some music with you that's been on repeat for me.
"Echo" by Jason Walker. I first heard it from an episode of Vampire Diaries, and it's just beautiful. The
scene itself is actually one of my favorites. I absolutely love Damon's line, "Because when I drag my brother from the edge and deliver him back to you, I want you to remember the things you felt when he was gone." With that intense stare of his, ugh, just brilliant.
As much as I love the Delena pairing, I prefer the forbidden aspect of it over the actualization. I suppose this is true for most things involving angst xD
The second song is
"Family Tree" by Matthew West, and what I love most about this song is the chorus: Oh, this is not your legacy, this is not your destiny, yesterday did not define you.
I often think of this song in conjunction with Clark Kent, lol. I imagine Lois telling him this, letting him know that he'll move beyond his dark side and to embrace the hero within him. At least, back when he still doubted he could do it ;)
The third song plays overhead at work,
"Counting on You" by Mikey Wax :)
Finally, I'd like to say that WOOOOOO!!! Fringe has been renewed for a 5th and final season. They will reach 100 episodes, which will make it easier to syndicate/rerun on other stations. \0/ I have so many feels for this show right now. Just ♥
