My limnology professor cracks me up. He drives 35 miles an hour down perfectly paved, empty roads, and then the minute we turn down onto a middle-of-nowhere dirt road full of half-ditches that's muddy from all of the rain last night, he revs it up to 70 miles an hour. In one of the giant Northland stalker vans, mind you, and I was following behind him with three other classmates in my Alero. My car definitely can't handle 70 miles an hour on unpaved roads. That was an adventure and now my car is basically painted in red clay.
Brittany was feeling homesick today, so we sat at the Black Cat for a few hours because of course mochas make everything better. They were promoting a book just published by a local author that is apparently a murder mystery set in Ashland - specifically in the Black Cat. It doesn't look particularly appealing to me, but it's set in Ashland for frak's sake so I'll have to buy and read it just for the lulz.
I am currently living on coffee and goldfish crackers. Seriously, I'm addicted to goldfish like Northland hippies are addicted to weed.
Registration for next semester is coming up in a few weeks. I looked over my requirements again and between my gen eds, my major, and my minor, I only have 12 classes left to take at Northland (including my senior capstone). That's 12 classes over three semesters, plus this May term. That's not bad at all. I think, once I get through Physics, I'm going to love school so much again.
It is freezing in our apartment. Seriously. Also, the neighbors must be starting early on Friday night karaoke because I can't think of another reason why there is so much redonkously loud singing.
