"I have to gouge out my mind's eye."

We were told that we would have a minute and a half per sample on our lab exam today; in reality, we were given about 30 seconds per sample.  What kind of frakkery is that?!  For christ's sake I misidentified Canada frakking yew.  There's no excuse for that except to blame it on the time constraints.  And honestly, in the field, you will always have access to hand lenses, field guides, and have much more than 30 seconds (and more than just a twig/leaf!) to identify a sample so I really don't see why this was a good idea.

Of course, we have to do it all again in another five weeks, except we are expected to know the same 100 samples solely by their winter buds.  Right.

I had some extra free time today, and had intended to finish my next 30_kisses entry.  It's not completely finished, but close, and I have a small list started for an A/R fanmix as well as a few icons, and I tried to catch up a bit with twelvecolonies .  Yes, I did completely enjoy my fandom-productive afternoon.  I won't have the opportunity to be this fandom-productive again for a while.

I still have some Physics problems to do for the night, but first.  It's been a few years since I've dressed up for Halloween, and I probably won't this year either, which is unfortunate.  More than anything else, I don't have any of my old costume materials at school and I don't really have the money to buy anything.  I really wish I did because I would LOVE to order this Galactica Junior Officer Uniform from ebay.  That would be so epic, seriously.  This Starbuck flight outfit is definitely more affordable, but the pants don't sit quite right with me.

Up at 6am for work tomorrow, so I'm off to do some Physics, all.  Wooooo.
