Lights are shining on our faces

My week-long vacation from work has started!! *excited dancing* Freedom!!

I apparently wasn't paying attention for the past 2 weeks because I somehow missed the fact that we were getting Direct TV and a DVR. :D Perfect timing since it coincides with my vacay! I'm celebrating by recording Hawaii 5-0 tonight while I start watching the Take (gangsta THard!!).

On Hawaii 5-0: I'd only watched the series premiere but at the urging of amazingly_me, I gave it another try. I'm glad I did because it's so much fun! Who wrote this script? Seriously, the witty banter between Steve and Danny never stops and they really do act like a married couple. XD Scott Caan is snarky ALL THE TIME and Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park are *awesome*. And am I alone in saying that I'd really like more episodes where Alex O'Loughlin takes off his shirt??

On Grey's Anatomy which I finally caught up on: Show, I need you to fix Cristina NOW or we are quits. I continue to love Lexie (still on the fence about the Jackson/Lexie vibes) and Mark and Callie's best friends with occasional benefits thing and April is finally starting to grow on me. But I will ditch you in a hot second if Cristina is not back to her badass, confident self in the next two eps. I mean it.
On writing: Ugh. The used bookstore AU is not going well. The actor AU is also stuck. So I took a break and rewrote all the snippets I've ever written which I'll post later. Maybe. If I can finish my new OT3 snippet which I love and hate in equal amounts. The last few paragraphs are kicking my butt which is ironic since I was basically writing it to cure my writer's block. XD I still like my snippets better than my full-length fics; this continues to be a problem. O_o

On real life: Most of you are probably way more savvy than I am and would never end up in this situation but I thought I'd share this anyway just in case so y'all could avoid this particular hassle. My sis and I needed new cell phones. We went to the actual AT&T store in our area (I say actual because the last time my mom got a new cell, she went to an AT&T store that was owned by a contractor of some kind and the smarmy jerk added an extra service to her line without telling her, and I only discovered it when I went over our bill with a fine-toothed comb; it was charging us an extra $5 every month; that's lesson #2 of this tale, make sure the store you're going to is legit) and our salesguy was very helpful in choosing our phones and explaining everything. We chose phones with a great rebate because we are cheap we liked them. He even offered us a trial service for free for a month that would drop off our account automatically at the end of the billing cycle. I mentioned what happened with the last service that was added to our line and he swore it wouldn't charge us and I would need to call customer service and ask them to make the service permanent if we wanted to keep it. So I said ok even though I knew we wouldn't use it. Yes, I freely admit I was a moron. :p I submitted the rebate forms for our phones soon after. And then I got a reply last week saying our rebate had been denied because of an accessory add-on. Cue the sinking feeling in my stomach. I called them up and sure enough, our rebate was denied because we had received something else free on our bill, the trial service offered by the helpful salesguy. The service costs $9.99/month. My rebate was $150. Awesome. I also looked at our bill to see if the service had dropped off at the end of the month like he promised. It hadn't, so now I also had to talk to customer support to get those charges reversed. The lady resubmitted my rebate and I now have to wait 3 weeks to see if it gets rejected again. If it does, I'll be going back to the store to get my money, one way or another. Lesson learned: never trust the salesguy no matter how helpful he seems. *facepalm*

tv review, greys, i am a dork, ot3, sis, inception, movies are love, tv is addicting, my simple/complicated life, i can only write snippets, argh
