Ewwwww.....
Chewy is a pimply little mare. She has some cysts here and there and every once in a while they come to a head. In such instances complete expression of the stuff inside is required. Usually it just oozes out a bit when pressure is applied and some alcohol rubbed on it pretty much sets her on her way, none the worse for it. However, this morning I was checking the two on her neck, the first one was fine and then I grabbed the second one and, well, it EXPLODED! I don't mean that some stuff came out, it spat out like buckshot from a shotgun. Of course I had to be looking at it at the time. Thankfully I closed my eyes and had my mouth closed, but it was wonderfully gross. I wiped my face and calmly expressed the rest of it before going inside to wash my face and get some rubbing alcohol. Note to self: do not stare directly at cyst as you inspect it.
Yesterday Chris and I roamed a bit. We dropped off his truck and headed into Mesa, purchased some new garments, picked something up, and had Pete's Fish and Chips for dinner before heading back. I need to go back in this morning and run some more errands, must go to cotsco and Fry's and I'm going to try and hit Bookmans because I have some $40 of store credit that I should use at some point, heh.
This is the first set of lines, I'll be treating it like the nude drawings with some lighter washes, but I plan on adding a lot more lines and pushing it a bit more. It's actually black-and-white, but I colorized and lightened it to discourage sticky fingers. The image is also around 15"X20" and I'm REALLY having fun working on it. I enjoy working like this.
Edit: Oh yes, this guy is based off of the Jutland, a Danish draft breed that is very short, compact, and heavily built. They also have very short cannons (knee/hock to fetlock/ankle area) and lots of feather and hair.
Time to scootch and get some stuff accomplished today.
