Ein Jahr im Schreiben.

Some statistics before I settle down to do my annual goals and resolutions post:

Jan 2023: Forged by Fire catch-all 77 pages, 42,812 words
Jan 2024: FBF 80 pages, 44,545 words
I could have dumped a lot more in this document with my dictated rambling, but it needs some reordering because it is a mess. I'm sure there are more words that belong in here. Officially 3 pages and 1,733 words added
Jan 2023: FBF: Sparks, the prequel 41 pages, 23,013 words, document started May 2022. It is all essentially new, but some of it started life in the FBF catch-all document.
Jan 2024: FBF: Sparks, 54 pages, 26,746 words
Added 13 pages (some of that is formatting changes) and 3,733
Jan 2023: Fire Forged Key 228 pages, 125,451 words
Jan 2024: FFK 301 pages, 167,450 words
Added 73 pages and 41,999 words, which might not be a full counting, again considering cut scenes, etc, but still quite respectable.
Jan 2023: Depths of the Forge 106 pages, 57,775 words
Jan 2024: DotF at 141 pages, 72,909 words
Added 35 pages and 15,134 words
Jan 2023: Heat of the Flame (title might change) 24 pages, 12,936 words
Jan 2024: HotF 30 pages, 14,529 words
Increase of 6 pages and 1,593 words
Lunaisan Hybrids, which started in December 2021, but we'll start keeping track of it here in 2023: 25 pages and 11,673 words.

Grand total for the FBF series (not including the Lunaisan document): For 2022 it was 207 new pages, 112,856 words, which is over 9,400 words a month on average. For 2023 it was 130 pages, 64,492 words, which is less than I thought, but I know it is a low count on the actual words, but I don't quite care enough to log daily wordcount for the whole year. I did over 17,000 words just in November so there's that...

I might be splitting FFK in two. I'm going to tidy up the first half and get it to Andrea here soon while I keep hacking away at my final time gap in the second half of the book. My hope is to finish tidying up the second half before she finished getting through the first.
