I don't hate Shelley.

I just think he's being unnecessarily, intentionally obscure in what he means in his poems.

Keats and Byron don't gleefully obfuscate like Shelley does. It clearly isn't something he needs to do. I swear, he must enjoy being vague. It's probably some form of attention-seeking ( Read more... )

I was doubtful when I went along to the class for Byron, but it turned out to be pretty interesting. I think I'll stay on with it, despite being made to read Southey for homework. Ugh. So far, this semester I have skipped four classes.
