My throat is really sore today. I'm hoping that it's just from me talking more than usual (teaching) and yelling lots at the tv over the weekend, and not a sign that I'm getting sick.

Some not so deep thoughts on Monday night TV:

Lethargic Leafs licked by SenatorsCheck out the alliteration in that headline. A+. Also, because I am immature: giggle-worthy. Last night after the game I made a few hockey icons to cheer myself up. Heroes and Prison Break would have been considerably more enjoyable had Global not kept cutting out every five flipping minutes. I saw approximately half of each episode. It only happened once with 24, but still, GRAR, GLOBAL.

I think that next year I might just sleep through midnight. Maybe I'm getting old or something, but New Year's Eve just feels so bloody anticlimactic.

We watched Serenity again this year, and again I wondered aloud several times why TPTB thought it was a good idea to cancel such a brilliant series. Old news, really, but the question always pops ( Read more... )
