Watching Hockey Night in Canada. Mats is back, and Darcy had a funny rumble with one of the Bruins earlier on, but the scoreboard is doing its best to greatly diminish my joy. Perhaps a meme will help to temper my disappointment.

While I was meme-ing, the announcers & camera guy noted that Rachel McAdams happens to be in attendance at tonight's hockey game. Aw, she's so lovely. But ugh, this game is so over. So depressing.
Okay, sorry, what's new with me. In list form, because I don't feel well, yet I insist on blabbing.
- Dadoo (who visited this week with Karen) bought us a poinsettia, which I promptly named Mitch. Hopefully this house plant will fare better than the last.
- I picked up Mitch Hedberg's Strategic Grill Locations at the mall on Thursday. The HMV Dude who took care of my order said Mitch was his hero, and I was like, "Rock on, HMV Dude." The CD is great. I listened to the whole thing last night and laughed my ass off.
- I have heard from certain people that a blanket of leaves left out on one's lawn over the winter will result in patches of dead grass. Thus, since I am absolutely more pro-grass than I am anti-raking, and since at least I know the leaves I put in yard waste bags are headed to a better place, I took steps today to reduce the blanket to a mere smattering of leaves. The rake makes one hell of a dance partner.
- I think it's time for me to admit that I've completely given up on NaNoWriMo. I had myself convinced that the concept was shit by week two. I'm good at that, really, discouraging myself and giving up. It's kind of a crap way to go through life. I'm going to have to work on that. (I have another story idea, but we'll see if anything becomes of that. *rolls eyes at self*)
Um. Yeah. I think that's enough for tonight. Hope all my American f-listers had a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving. ♥
