So this article on AICN is talking about how the Weinsteins are editing the heck out of Fanboys (movie about a bunch of geeks in 1998/99 sneaking into Skywalker Ranch to steal a print of Star Wars: Episode 1 so their friend with cancer can see it before he dies). As in, taking out the cancer subplot because

I just don't understand why people have to compete over something like that anyway. I mean, can't they find something better to be competitive over?
