Finally finished THE granny square blanket for Janelle's birthday.  Sent it yesterday, can't wait until she gets it!  I tried it out before sending it, just to make sure it will be good for her and to put more of me into the scent and essence of it.  I want her to feel me in the blanket when she wraps up in it!  Like a big hug from her MeMe anytime ( Read more... )

I haven't been doing much knitting this winter so far.  Was crocheting up a storm in November and early December.  Making what seemed like a THOUSAND granny squares, but really only 96 of them!  Now to sew them together and crochet the edging.  Making it for Janelle's birthday on the 25th of January.  Put it away while our company was here~time to ( Read more... )

Still haven't cut out that top.    I did it!  Had the help of 3-4 cats, but it is ready to start sewing...  AND, Annie's coat is cut out now, too!  I feel quite accomplished at this point!  hehehee...

  Ok, I am almost ready to sew.  I cleaned off the table, I have everything I need to make something, I've cut out the tissue pattern, I've read the instructions several times, and still, I am holding back from the dreaded actual cutting of the material.  I think I can, I think I can!  Oh, how did I lose all that confidence I had 15 years ago????
