We're having a family reunion in July to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday. There will be people staying in my house for part of that time. This presents a problem, because this is the current state of my guest room:
It's a dumping ground, literally.
Incidentally, this is also the room that I have claimed for my office, since the flooding and my allergies make it clear I can't use the basement anymore. Here's my writing space:
Clearly, not much is happening there lately.
I've been meaning to start imposing order ever since I hauled everything up from the basement, but I got as far as filling the bookshelves before life got in the way. Now, with a measly one hour a day of "chore time" (if that) the task seems virtually impossible, but bottom line it's got to be done or else that extra bed (there's a bed in there, I swear - go back and look really close at that first picture) is going to be useless. What if Nonnie needs to crash at our place after the big birthday shin-dig? Where is she going to sleep? The torturous pull-out sofa? I think not.
So, structured Home School schedule or not, the Kinglet and I (mostly I) are going to start excavating in here THIS WEEK. Come hell or high piles of crap, IT WILL BE DONE.
