That was interesting....
Last night was the first night I spent alone in my house. It was kind of weird. Being a person that has lived alone for the last ::mumble mumble:: -teen years and being an only child, it's not like I don't know how to be alone. But spending the last many months living with someone, and now having a housemate, it's just an odd feeling to have the house entirely to myself. I did enjoy the much needed down time, but I caught myself heading to the office to ask my Honey if he wanted tea or something. I think the cats were a little thrown off too, especially Missykitten. She kind of wandered around like she was looking for dad for a while. But by the time I went to bed they both snuggled in - amazingly both ended up by my head and no major fighting or launching off my face to chase each other happened.
It was very sweet this morning. My Honey left me a wonderfully sappy card for our anniversary. It may only be 8 months, but this is a bit more than a milestone for me. My usual track record is less than 6 months, and by that point or before I'm bored/frustrated/restless/annoyed. This is the first time that I'm with someone that I'm happier and more confident now in the relationship than I was at the beginning. We have very open lines of communication and can talk about anything - even the not so pleasent stuff. For me, that's the biggest thing because I've never been a good one with communicating things.
During my quiet down time I did manage to put together one dress - still need to do sleeves and buttons - and am gonna get a bit of cleaning done before getting started on the next dress so I can work on the eyelets this afternoon and hemming a veil.
