ignore yesterday's happy

Sep 17, 2014 09:36

I was up about three times in the night with accidents--not as bad, but still not good. Though today seems to better. *knock on wood* I dunno. Took another imodium and brought one with me to work.

Coffee tastes weird. Damn meds.

Royals sucked and lost. Herrara and Davis both lost their 30 game scoreless inning streaks. At least Detroit lost, too.

Another afternoon game time announced for KU football--no 11:00 ones yet. We play Texas in two weeks here at 3:00.

I guess today's lame happy is that for the first time ever when I got to the lab for my blood draw at 8:00 when they open, there was no one ahead of me! Usually there's three or four old people there. In fact, when I left at 8:15 (because they're never ready to go at 8:00) the next person was just walking in. At least they had my lab paperwork ready which means my appointment for Saturday is on the calendar unlike three months ago.

Hardly any Big 12 football games this week. KSU plays Thursday night (when the Royals are off so that works); us on Saturday against Central Michigan who will slaughter us, and then OU v WVU that night. Oh well, hopefully I'll get some writing done. I say that a lot. Or maybe my body will have righted itself and I'll be all energized by the steroids and get back to cleaning.

As I left the lab I realized that my hemoglobin count (for iron) is probably fucked due to a week of basically not eating. I certainly haven't had any iron rich foods like beef or leafy green vegs. *sigh* If so, I'm going to try to convince my doctor to let me get another test in a couple weeks once I'm well and eating right again rather than do iron infusions or something even more god-awful expensive. Also I need to remember to ask for my flu shot because come October 1 (when my insurance rolls over) Basic Blue no longer covers vaccines given at pharmacies! Not that I'd get one there--last year, my first one ever, the doctor basically gave me no choice. I shouldn't have to pay for it this Saturday with the deductible and co-insurance paid already.

Every year I get about $2000 back on my taxes. I figure I'm going to have to use that for medical crap every year...

I probably should do some work.

doctor, ku football, royals, stupid money woes, stupid body
