i'm just too damn nice
So, I stepped up to help the teenager with her service on transcendentalism when the original worship associate had to back out, which means major wrangling because, while she's adorable and smart and funny, she's a teenager. I was one once, too, so no disrespect intended to any teenagers out there.
Minister just emailed me and has talked to her and she's not sure the girl can write a 15 minute sermon yet.
So I volunteered to do a 5 minute reflection on the history and big names of the 19th century movement.
*sigh*
Actually that'll take me about an hour to write on Saturday because, just looking for poems, I found tons of historical info on the movement.
And I am a historian. Making stuff spiritual is always my problem.
So the teenager can just talk about what it means, nature spirituality etc.
Which she'll probably still be hand writing Sunday morning. *g*
I got all my tax stuff together. Just in the three months of last year--surgery on--I spent over $3000 on medical stuff, including insurance. I hope that helps, though I always get a nice refund anyway. Owning your own home is the best thing you can do to get a refund!
I left my phone at work overnight--didn't realize it until I got home from choir practice. Felt naked.
Had to buy a new heating pad because mine just finally wore out and it's still too cold at nights for me to sit on the couch without it. I managed barely on Tuesday night, wrapped in a shawl with a cat on me.
Haven't watched the last two SPNs yet. Was that really him last night? I mean, the actor? Did watch Arrow and Survivor.
Due to basketball I completely forgot about Project Runway so I have last week's and this week's set to record. I may have missed one. Oh well. Have that brainstorming party to go to tonight, but then I plan to watch PR and read comics. I'm only about five months behind on DC now and then I can start on Marvel. That's a bit daunting because I need to figure out if I want to read like an entire run of one comic or each comic month to month which is how I'm reading DC, but then I just had DCNU to read and I have like seven years of Xbooks including various miniseries and crossovers...It'll take me a whole day to figure out the order, probably.
Did not get any writing done last night. *sigh* I'd say today because I have very little to do, but boss is already here and he only has one meeting this afternoon. He's also sneezing his head off.
So, probably should wrap this up.
