At work

Snowpocalypse 2 keeps getting pushed back. It was supposed to start last evening with freezing drizzle; now it's wintery mix starting around 2:00 this afternoon. But then through Wednesday morning, another foot of snow.

DO NOT WANT!

At least a lot of the snow I piled up along the driveway melted over the last two days so there's room to pile another foot.

They did come and plow around 10:45 p.m. on Friday but they only put about four-five inches at the end of the driveway. I went out Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and checked and drove my car over it to make sure I could get out and it was fine, so I went back in for breakfast before my 8:30 hair appointment.

They plowed again.

THE STREET WAS FINE! Maybe an inch of packed snow. WTF stupid city?! It doesn't have to be perfect! So I ran back out there and started digging out the now foot of snow at the end of the driveway--luckily it wasn't packed down--cursing all the way. A plow came up and the guy gestured at me and I moved out of the way and he dug out that side of the end of my driveway. How nice of him! :) Still some decent people in the world. My neighbor just missed him and he was digging out so I stopped and thanked him for snowblowing half of my sidewalk.

There was a lot of melt as the sun shown for two straight days and it was in the upper 30s, low 40s.

KU got major revenge against TCU. In the first game they held us to 13 points in the first half. We held them to 9 in this one. :) The second half we slacked off some but we were up by 25 or something, so that's not surprising. Tonight we're at Iowa State, never an easy place to play.

Dad and I went to see Die Hard. It was enjoyable for what it was. I think mom and I are going to see Oz in a couple weeks. Did see the Iron Man 3 trailer (yay!!!) and then last night I watched Iron Man 2 on FX. They cut the scene with Coulsen and Cap's shield!

Watched TAR. Really, how can you do this race and be afraid of swimming?

We have an election tomorrow. Probably should have early voted last week but who would have thunk?? I kind of doubt I can make it the three blocks to my election site and I'm not that dedicated enough to walk, not for a local election. Bad me.

I'm not expecting to be here tomorrow so I have a butt load of work to do. Of course I feel guilty because my boss and other attorney both made it in on Friday (why????) but I really don't think I could have gotten up my street. We did get a little bit of mail but I expect a deluge today as the mail was delayed out of KC till Saturday. At least I have enough food to get me through the week, so do the cats, so don't have to worry about stopping at the grocery in wintery mix. Hopefully I can get the deposits made for work.

snowmageddon, work, basketball, stupid city
