And, the final grades are.......

A in Biology 2 - Evolution

B in Desktop Publishing

C in Algebra 1 (which, I'm NOT complaining about at all - I'm not a math head and the way they are teaching math with Common Core is outright STUPID)

C in World History - I'm grumbling at Slug over this because there was just so much work he either turned in late or didn't do for this class.  I always got this answer of, "Well, I thought I did it...."  or, "I know I turned it in...."  Uhm, no, he didn't.  That's why he had so many assignments marked down for not being done or being turned in late.

This, I told him, will not fly next year.  Especially if he has English III first period - that teacher is a very vocal lady and calls students out on their bullshit.

Parkway is rolling out the Google Apps for Education program next year and so, he will have a very easy way to check what assignments are due now - all he will have to do is to pull up the app on his phone that he will be getting and he can see if he has something he needs to do.

He was all surly at his last therapy session, going, "I don't appreciate being called a liar..." when the therapist asked him what did he call it then, when the assignments weren't turned in after he told me they were, it was all redirect about how easy the assignments were.  Well, if that was the case, why didn't he do them?  I bet the therapist realized the redirect and will address that with him their next session.

He was also grumbling about being sent off to scout camp for five days, going, "I didn't agree to this...."  Our wonderful therapist jumped on him for this.  She explained it would be a time to meet new friends that lived closer, do more outdoor type things and it was only 5 days.  They leave on a Sunday, come back Friday.  So, yeah....  SUCH a long time to not have Xbox access.  :-p

The other thing that will be staying in place is the 10 pm bedtime.  It was proven that he needs to be off the Xbox an hour before bedtime and that lights need to be off by 10.  I had SO many calls, notes, talks with his teachers and therapists over this.  It finally was hammered home in April about him needing at least eight hours of sleep to function in school.  I had study after study to back me up on this.

slug, life
