Gah! Sick before Con!
So, this weekend is Midsouth Con and oh gee, guess what I have? Freaking pneumonia!!!!!!!!!
At least, it's only in my left lung, not both and I'm on Z-pack for 5 days. My throat feels scraped raw from all the coughing. The cough medicine the doc gave me makes me dizzy, which is not what I want to deal with right now.
Now, I'm in a wait & see pattern to go to con this weekend.
However, I am so, so, so damn ready to tell the other girl working the bar to take a flying leap because her first words were not concern for my health but if I make it to con, I can't work with her because she's pregnant and she can't afford to get sick.....
Seriously????? By the time she sees me, I will be most of the way through my antibiotics and secondly, she's not the only one pregnant and thirdly - there will be those who are MORE contagious than me, walking around at con. There always is!
