guys, I caved...
...and bought Hawkeye #7.
I think maybe it was not...the best one to start with? I have seen random panels from other issues that struck me as funnier, and I think things like Kate tearing her engagement party dress to swim to Duane Reade would have been more entertaining if I had more context for the characters. But yes, as promised, Clint is a sweetie and Kate is tougher and sassier than everyone else, and they are buddies and hang out and this is a good premise for a comic book. I will probably go back to the comics store tomorrow because the sale they were having today is going to be further marked down tomorrow, so maybe I'll see if they have #6?
Unrelatedly, I also got Worlds' Finest #7, because I wanted to see Helena and Damian being parallel universe kind-of siblings, but I haven't read it yet because I have to find a copy of #6 first (they didn't seem to have any left at the store, but I can check again tomorrow).
