comics again

Batman Incorporated - Thank you, public library. Can someone please explain to me what happened to me in this book? I really have no idea what happened. Otherwise, Selina was pretty funny, especially when she got upset because she got water in her suit. What else...oh, the Batwoman parts were pretty great, especially the flashback parts with Robin whining about Bruce having a girlfriend. I suspect they would be even funnier if I'd read the old comics they were meant to refer to. And it was nice to see Steph being awesome again in her section. Incidentally, where were Cyril and Beryl in all of these shenanigans? But yeah, on a plot level, no idea what was happening, no idea who half the people were (and the introductions weren't always handled very clearly), and I can't imagine trying to read this month by month since it skipped around so much.

Teen Titans: Year One: Adorable beyond all reason, oh my goodness. The art was really, really beautiful, and all of the Titans are total sweeties. I just want them to keep being adorable and tiny and awkward together. Just...this. And this. And the thing at the end where Robin has to save the others and they sort of climb out of the grave was...really kind of sad in light of the whole Wally and Donna not existing and Garth not really showing up in the DCnU thing. I got this one from the library, too, but surprisingly you can still buy it for reasonable prices--it seems like the kind of thing DC has been making disappear of late.

Hawkeye #6: I know, I know, wait for the trade. But the store was having a $1 sale on floppies, so. I liked this a lot, and a lot better than I liked #7--there were some things that confused me, but it was just really sweet, and Clint was just trying so hard even when he really had nothing to work with. And Kate was not there very much but she was great when she was.

Batwoman #12-16: Also acquired for unreasonably low prices, yay sale! The art was completely amazing, and I think the writing has gotten a lot better since they first switched writers. I skipped straight from #6, but I had read enough reviews/summaries that I was mostly okay to jump ahead. But seriously, the art. It's crazy fabulous. And Wonder Woman and Batwoman working together was really cool. Also, aww, Bette! I want to see more of Bette. I guess there's, like, one more issue in this arc, and that comes out later this month?
