Guess how much Butch now weighs? Go on, guess.
122.7 lbs.
So I guess when I bought the weight control food at Sam's because they were out of the regular stuff, that was a good thing.
He's got infected ears, which is fairly common for floppy-eared dogs (which I already knew, but for some reason didn't connect with Butch). I have ear cleaning stuff to use twice a day--once with cotton balls/kleenex, once without--for one week; then I get to use it once a week for prevention, plus any time he gets a bath or gets especially wet. It's probably because of all the rain lately, as he could have gotten moisture inside his ears, and then it can't evaporate because of the floppy flaps.
I still can't believe he's gained that much weight. At least the doc said that he should be around 110-115, so he's not terrible yet. I'd thought he'd gotten a bit over a hundred, but not that much!
