(no subject)
Had TONS of fun with elementary school gifted kids today. This was one of those exceedingly rare jobs when you think, "I get paid for this?!" Because I got to do logic problems with the kids, which I love, but I'm only good at the super easy ones. Funny, I can do hard sudoku, but I'm terrible at anything past baby logic problems.
Oh! And one of the boys had that game book, Obsessed With Star Wars. I played that with him during the last few minutes of the school day. Won't tell you how many I missed (more than I wanted to!), but I did impress the kids.
Picked up the new Star Wars book yesterday, Outcast. Hubby stayed up late/woke up early, and got through the first third of the book, so I get a good long reading stint! I'm hoping that this will redeem some of my anger at them making Jacen go bonkers, and then killing him, and blaming it (partly) on Vergere. If it's some sort of Force madness or infection, that doesn't make it all better, but I'll be at least somewhat mollified. And Jaina and Jag are back together, which thrills me more than I can possibly explain. I think they may be my single real OTP. Because... because... Well, because they're Jaina and Jag and Jag is the sexiest Imperial after Grand Admiral Thrawn. (I'm really upset that they're bringing bug boy Zekk back, though. Leave him dead, dammit!)
Is it weird that, while I'm reading Nietzsche's On the Geneology of Morality, I'm taking notes about resonances with SW books? ...Erm, yeah, I thought so.
